From an architect’s perspective…

We visited our friends in VisaVis studio.
Enchanting ambience, nice spring weather and a cup of coffee made our conversation extremely enjoyable. Young, yet very successful team of architects, led by Nikola Djerman, acquainted us with the interior projects, which are (little to say) fascinating.
The most beautiful among them, the ambience of a loft, won our applause. We would like to introduce it to you.

“The space which makes you feel as if you were on top of the world.”

The project assignment was to create the interior of a loft apartment (140m2) for a three -member family. Parabolic ceiling and supporting pillars are the only unchangeable elements in the apartment. As such, they were supposed to be accentuated and smartly used.

During several months of gradual work of VisaVis team from rough work to decorative elements the apartment was being adjusted to the client’s needs. Fitted furniture dominates the apartment. The architects respected the owner’s wish for understated ambience with Mediterranean elements. In order to escape from cold and sterile space the architects started to combine different materials, colours and shapes.

Modern materials make the space look simple and accentuated elements turn the same space into a home (cozy and safe shelter). Mediterranean stone, warm coffee shades and wood on one side and grey shades, glass blocks on the other play a game without frontiers. Such strong identity design may often lead us to a wrong direction. However, the creators of this space easily reached balance between cold elegance and powerful design.

The selected wood flooring design Oak Rustic, Tarkett Salsa collection, additionally emphasizes the sense of coziness, which is necessary to every home.

The daily zone, open and free, is completely separated from the night zone. The only physical barrier is the glass block wall which separates the kitchen as a whole.

The grey mast in the dining room which hangs down from the ceiling to the wall is one of the dominant details. Additionally emphasized with grey colour and peripheral lighting and decorated with geometrical holes, it creates a dramatic effect in the ambience.

The living room is a part of the existential space whose purpose is to gather all the members and represents the hearthstone of modern times. Big and cozy leather corner sofa transforms the living room into a peaceful harbor, a cozy hearthstone of every family member.

The bedrooms do not stand out from the imaginary unity. Mediterranean stone wall covering, the smell of the sea from the living room can transfer you into the sleeping zone. Glass block wall serves as a physical barrier between the bedroom and the bathroom. A jacuzzi behind it perfectly accentuates the luxury created as a result of experienced work of VisaVis expert team.

Enchanting atmosphere, lighting, the space, colours, unusual combinations make this ambience different and unique.
We hope the photos, at least roughly, will describe the impression this harmony leaves.

Enjoy! We certainly did!
