Here are some advice:
Forget the low ceiling, open up
the space, shape it with flamboyant gypsum laths. Everything that limits the
space should not be dominant. Put the emphasis on flooring, make the walls
disappear. They are without color and texture.
Play with materials, fabrics,
shapes …. Space filled with eclectic furniture with lots of details (find them
at flea markets, in attics and let them tell their story …), colorful flowery fabric,
patterns, big libraries, completely new equipment is something that will
satisfy everybody’s taste…
This is a kind of space which
conveys the comfort of tradition realized using new techniques.
